On Journey it understands destinations in plain language, resolves places via OpenStreetMap, and shows an honest Intelligence dashboard. A floating chat stays aware of your screen, family, and active journey — with optional voice replies.

What is Journey?

Journey lets you start a route from reusable templates or AI Quick Start (“I’m going to…”). Family-role members get notified when you start, check in, share evidence, or arrive. Journey Intelligence scores measurable conditions (weather, night, network, nearby help) and clearly labels inferred or unresolved places — never dummy scores. If you’re late, Chronalio asks “Are you safe?” and can escalate if there’s no response.

How does the HELP button work?

When you trigger HELP, Chronalio notifies Admin, Guardian, and Family roles with your live location and optional audio or video context. Protected members can trigger HELP but do not receive HELP fan-out. You can use full alerts or quiet mode depending on the situation.

What if I trigger a false alarm?

You can cancel or resolve an incident from the app. Your circle will see the update on the incident timeline. We recommend agreeing on a household protocol for accidental triggers.

Does Chronalio work with poor connectivity?

Accepted Answer

Chronalio is designed for intermittent networks and real-world conditions. Alerts queue and retry; SMS fallback paths may be used where configured. Always keep local emergency services as your primary line for life-threatening situations.

How do I sign in?

Create an account with email and password, verify your email, then sign in. Optional authenticator-app 2FA is available in Security settings.

How do I invite family members?

Create or join a family circle, then send invites by email or shareable link. Invitees accept and appear in your circle with the permissions you assign.

What data is shared during an alert?

Typically your identity within the circle, live or last-known location, alert timestamp, and any optional audio or notes you enable. Always-on tracking is not required for core protection. Intelligence weather uses Open-Meteo; nearby facilities use OpenStreetMap — crime intelligence is not enabled.

Is my emergency profile encrypted?

Yes. Sensitive emergency profile data uses device-bound encryption. We minimise what is stored in plaintext and give you controls over sharing during incidents. See our Security page for architecture details.

Can I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the Chronalio app open Settings → About & Legal → Delete account, or email support@chronalio.com / use the Support form. After verification we delete or anonymise account data within 30 days, subject to legal retention where required (see Privacy Policy).

Is Chronalio free?

Chronalio is currently free during Founding Free access. Paid plans for larger circles or advanced capabilities may be introduced — we’ll communicate pricing clearly before any charge.

Question 14

Does Chronalio replace calling emergency services?

Accepted Answer

No. Chronalio complements — it does not replace — police, ambulance, or fire services. In a life-threatening emergency, call local emergency numbers first, then use Chronalio to notify your trusted circle.
